No Ill Will

I am thankful that time is on my side for a change; enough has passed for me to see the real you.
Rarely do I find myself pondering your existence anymore but when I do, I mostly feel immense sorrow and shame for ever letting you in.
From the start, your words were promising but your actions always seemed to fall short.
Rather than wish you ill will, I’ll do you one better:
I forgive you
